No Middle Tier Server

Each user requires an ODBC Data Source that connects directly to the SQL Database Server.  Users also require a mapping to the File Store and a valid connection to the Optional DMS (if required).

 

Middle Tier Server Installed

Users do not require any ODBC Data Sources and instead make a connection to a Middle Tier Server via TCP/IP.  Users also require a mapping to the File Store and a valid connection to the Optional DMS (if required).
